And to think that I saw it in Utah!!!!!

We have been to the Kennecott Copper Mines before...my aunt works there as an Admin Assistant, so she's given us passes.  We loved it!  I had forgotten my camera the first time, so I took pictures with my phone.  They are not the greatest, to say the least.
When I found out that Kennecott was free last week only...well, we had to make another trip!  This time we took Grandma and Mariah with us!
Kennecott is seriously amazing...and apparently it is one of the few things that can be seen from SPACE!  Like OUTERspace!  How cool is that!?!? Right here in UTAH!

Looking down into the mine...the trucks are HUGE!
Checking out the HUGE trucks up close.
An old time loader/digger
An old time ginormous bucket!
Checking out the visitors center displays
Groovy minerals under microscopes!
This is a "retired" tire from one of the trucks pulling the copper out of the mine...it's 12 feet in diameter...pretty small, eh?
If you haven't been out there, I really, really, really, recommend it!  I think it's pretty inexpensive to get in, charge is per car.  Just...don't go on a Thursday like we did.  Unbeknownst to us, Thursdays are the tour BUS days!  It was PACKED!  But still tons of FUN!
